The aggregate hospice CAP limits the total amount that a hospice agency may receive from Medicare in any cap year. This amount is calculated based upon the number of Medicare beneficiaries the hospice served during the cap year and the annual per beneficiary cap amount. A hospice must return payments received above the aggregate hospice cap amount.
